Why It's Time to Shift to Windows 11

Why It's Time to Shift to Windows 11

Even the most techy amongst us dread using a new operating system. You spend more time looking for programs than you do using them, new search functions seem to make no sense, and where on earth is the Start button? For that reason, many users have simply refused to make the shift to Windows 11. If you are one of them, you're not alone, research has shown around 52% of users in the UK are still committed to Windows 10, despite Win11's steady climb in popularity. However, as Windows 10 approaches its end-of-life (EOL) date, many will soon have to accept the inevitable and take the leap.

Never fear. Those of us who have been using Windows 11 for some time know that its about more than a new pastel colour palette. Win11 is all about functionality, safety, and improving user experience.  The updated design provides the sleekness of iOS without its limitations, meaning when you open your menu, the most used items are shown, but with a quick click of "Show more options", you're able to use more advanced features - making Win11 suitable for tech pro and the everyman.  Users have reported better task manager function, improved accessibility, and gaming experience, plus data has shown that PC operating speeds increase when upgrading to Win11.

Windows 10 support comes to an end on October 14th 2025, so make sure you aren't caught out and consider updating before its too late.
