How does CDS use AI?

Recently, we talked about research that had shown that the introduction of AI into workplaces had little to no financial or time-saving benefits. With that, we thought we’d let you in on how CDS uses AI.

So AI makes little impact on labour costs. With CDS, we found this was also the case.

AI is extremely powerful and clever when producing computer code. We use AI to check syntax (the structure of statements in a computer language), but we found time and time again that the AI's suggestions were just factually wrong, even giving coding commands that simply do not exist. While trawling through forums, it had found someone's wish - "wouldn't it be easier if..." and decided it was fact.

The key to making use of AI is always to test and prove the concept with any idea AI suggests before you start investing substantial time in development - which often means you might aswell have done the research yourself.

AI is everywhere right now, and we believe its important that it doesn't come between people and getting the information they need. So even when it comes to your search engine, make sure to include a large dose of critical thinking before trusting the AI answer.
